Sharon M. Negrini, age 74, died peacefully surrounded by the love of her family at Sacred Heart Hospital on February 04, 2015 from a short battle with cancer.

She was born on March 29, 1940 to the late Phillip and Florence (LaForge) Kapets in Ironwood, MI. After graduating from St. Ambrose-Ironwood Catholic High School, she attended The College of St. Scholastica in Duluth graduating in May of 1962. On June 30, 1962, she married James Negrini at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Ironwood, MI.

Sharon had an endless love for her family. Her most cherished times included: spending time with her family and their dog, Gracie, volunteering at Sacred Heart Hospital, reading the newspaper, curling, supporting her husband's coaching career by attending all the basketball games, and watching her favorite TV programs with her husband.

She was immensely proud of her daughters and grandchildren. She was a leader in advancing the medical records program at CVTC by developing and delivering a strong program curriculum and the area's first ever internship program. For many years she worked at Sacred Heart Hospital and because of her bright mind, infectious smile, and kind heart, she developed connections with everyone she met.

Sharon is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, James; daughters, Julie Hall (Jeffery Lebrick), Gina (Lonnie) Krueger, and Laura Negrini-Speight (the late Michael Speight); grandchildren, Bradon, Ryan, Delaney, Leo, and Adelia; brother, Gene (Candace) Kapets; sisters, Renee (David) Lato and Mary Beth Kapets; many other family members and friends.

Honoring a life with a meaningful service is an important step in the grief process and is a gift to their family and friends —
a gift of memories and a gift of healing
