PRICE, Frederick W., age 88

Died: Tuesday, September 29th, 2015

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Evergreen Funeral Home (on Golf Road one block east of Hwy 93) with the Reverend Jamie Brieske officiating

Visitation: one hour prior to the funeral service

Interment: Rest Haven Cemetery, Town of Washington, Wisconsin

Frederick W. Price, age 88, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Our House Senior Living in Eau Claire, in the presence of his family and under the care of St. Joseph's Hospice.

Frederick was born on February 20, 1927 to the late Chester and Mathilda (Speener) Price in White Lake, WI.  Fred served in the U.S. Army at Fort Ord, CA and in the Philippines for a total of 18 months. On August 21, 1954 he married Catherine (Cook) Price in Waukegan, IL.  Fred lived in Milwaukee for 43 years working as a welder and security guard until his retirement.  In 1990, Frederick and Catherine relocated to Eau Claire where Fred worked at Mega East as a delivery person and in customer assistance. Frederick enjoyed deer hunting, target shooting, and discussing guns and cycle sports. He enjoyed the outdoors and nature; going for walks every day and watching television programs about nature, animals, and history.

He is survived by his daughter, Debra Price of Milwaukee; granddaughter, Jennifer Singsheim of Beaver Dam; sister, Ruth Metko of Appleton; brother-in-law, Lawrence (Mary Lou) Cook of Galena, IL; sister-in-law, Carol Ceraso of Chippewa Falls; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine; son, Michael; brother, Maurice (Veda May); sister, Anna Price; brothers-in-law, Cass Metko and Michael Ceraso; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Mabel (Jack) Webb, Velma Mullikin, Jane (James) Meloy, and Odessa (Royce) Ralph.
