Interment: Woodlawn Cemetery in Birchwood, WI at a later date

Donald L. Coghlan, age 84, of Eau Claire died on Monday, March 5, 2012 at Dove Healthcare-West.

Don was born on February 12, 1928 to the late Lawrence and Lucille (Laporte) Coghlan in Escanaba, Michigan. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army from 1951-1953. On July 16, 1955, Don married Marilyn Zemaitis in Milwaukee where they resided until moving to Eau Claire in 1976. Don loved spending time at the cottage.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marilyn; children, Carol (Ron) Knapmiller of Holmen, John Coghlan of Red Bluff, CA, Jane (Wally) Mulvaney of Barrington, IL, and Paul Coghlan of Medina, M N; grandchildren, Luke Knapmiller, Scott (Brittany) Knapmiller, Chad (Jessi) Knapmiller, Mark (Amy) Knapmiller, and Kayla Ann Coghlan; six great grandchildren; sister, Pat Clancy; many nieces, nephews, and friends

Don was preceded in death by his brother, James.
