HOUSE, Elizabeth "Liz" A., age 84

Died: Thursday, September 7th, 2017

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Hope Lutheran Church (corner of Starr Avenue and Eddy Lane) with Reverend Rick Lund officiating.

Visitation: Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Hope Lutheran Church and also one hour prior to the service.

Interment:  Burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery in Eau Claire.

Elizabeth "Liz" House, age 84, of Eau Claire, died on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at her son's home under the care of St. Croix Hospice.

Liz was born on June 30, 1933 to the late James and Annette (Olson) Hillestad in Eau Claire.  In 1951, she was united in marriage to Gerald House at Hope Lutheran Church.  Liz loved spending time with her family and friends, quilting, knitting, crocheting, volunteering her time and playing games.  She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

Liz is survived by her son, Mitchell (Luann); daughter, Marcelle (Paul) Zurn; grandchildren, Joshua, Elijah & Joel House, Amanda (House) O'Bryne, Dan Zurn, Faye (Zurn) Schell, Rosa Thomas, Johnathan Thomas, Chrissa (Capozzi) Grunwald and Mario Capozzi; 13 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Gerald; son, Newell; daughters, Cheryl Thomas and Brenda Capozzi; brother, Kenneth Hillestad; and sister, Vonnie (Robert) Field.
