Stacie J. Miller, age 44, of Arlington, MN, (formerly of Eau Claire) died unexpectedly on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, MN.

Stacie was born on August 27, 1971 in Arcadia, WI. Her family moved to Eau Claire and later to Minnesota, graduating from Eden Prairie High School in 1989. She attended Ridgewater College in Hutchinson, MN receiving her degree in Sociology/Activity Director and continued classes while working full time. Stacie worked for Gustavus Adolphus College in the department of History, Math, and Science. She also volunteered for the Gaylord Library and at her son's school in Green Isle.

She will be remembered for her infectious laugh, strong opinions and wit, but mostly for her kind and giant heart. She was intelligent and also somewhat mischievous. Stacie was a loving mother. The happiest moment in her life was the birth of her son, Tatum. She loved online gaming, traveling, and camping. She was an avid reader whose passion for books led to her founding the Sexy Women Can Read Book Club.

Stacie is survived by her beloved son, Tatum Miller of Arlington, MN;  mother, Linda Welch of Comstock, WI; brothers, Greg Miller (Sarah Andrewson) of Comstock, WI and Pat (Brooke) Welch of Eau Claire, WI; sister, Kate Welch (fiancé Jace McDonald) of Superior, WI; special friend, Joseph; grandparents, Robert C. Wicka of Independence, WI, Don and Margie Welch of Cottage Grove, MN; nieces and nephews, Ariana Hegge, Marcel, Kennady and Alexis Welch; uncles, Archie (Debbie) Wicka, Charlie Wicka, and Fred (Robin) Wicka. She is also survived by many members of the Wicka and Welch families, and her pets, Beagle and Mama Cat.

She was preceded in death by her father, Mike Welch, and grandmother, Marion Wicka.

Honoring a life with a meaningful service is an important step in the grief process and is a gift to their family and friends —
a gift of memories and a gift of healing
