Celebration of Life: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 24, 2024 the funeral home with Pastor Rick Lund officiating

Visitation: one hour prior to service

Interment: Lakeview Cemetery, Buffalo, Minnesota later this spring

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorials be sent to a charity or organization of your choosing

Rose Marie "Rosie" Kullman, age 94, of Altoona (formerly Eau Claire), was called home peacefully by our Lord on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Grace Edgewood Assisted Living in Altoona, Wisconsin.   

Rose Marie was born February 27, 1929 to the late Emma (Berthiaume) and Henry Zumbusch in Buffalo, Minnesota. After graduating high school, she moved to Minneapolis where she was a legal secretary with  the Freeman and King law firm.

Throughout her life Rose Marie demonstrated an unwavering faith and was an active member of Hope Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. She was a member of the ladies circle and years later, one of the church secretaries. She was a talented seamstress: from simple alterations to creating beautiful outfits, wedding dresses, and could tailor a man's suit to perfection. She also enjoyed her flower gardens and lunch with family and friends on the patio.   Her cinnamon rolls and grandma's brownies never lasted long! Packers, and or, Vikings? She could cheer them both on…with a smile!   

For over eleven years, Rosie made her home at Grace Edgewood where she received loving care from the staff who truly became part of her family. We thank them all for their love, kindness and gentle care. We would also like to express a sincere thank you to the team of St. Joseph Hospice for taking special care and comfort of Rosie.   

She is survived by her children: Rodney (Maribel) Kullman and their children, Eric, Jessica, Alexander and Michell; Karen Ludwig and her children, Nathaniel, Joseph, Shauna, and Chanel; Julie (Vic) Gabris and her son, Kolton; and Jon Kullman and his children, Makenna and Bronson; Dirk's children, Nicholas, Mitchell, Joshua, Landon, and Kyle; 30 great grandchildren; sister, Patricia O'Connor; godson, Bob Cramer; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Rose Marie was preceded in death by her son, Dirk Kullman; daughter, Vicki Rekoske; and brothers, Vince and Casper Zumbusch.
