Dorothy M. Ritsch, age 89, of Eau Claire entered eternal life on Wednesday, July 6, 2011.

Dorothy was born on June 17, 1922 to the late Bertie G. and Etta (Boer) Garrett in Bruce, Wisconsin.  On October 4, 1947, Dorothy married Roger Ritsch in Bruce.

Dorothy was a homemaker who was devoted to her family. During her lifetime she enjoyed traveling and visited all 49 continental U.S. states. In their golden years, she and Roger were able to enjoy 16 winters in Florida. She will be remembered for her ready smile and her love of laughter.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Terry) Brummeyer of Mooresville, NC; grandchildren, Teresa (Bill) Martin of Stevens Point, WI, Ryan (Shipra) Brummeyer of Holly Spring, NC, and Nathan (Jessie) Ritsch of Madison, WI; great grandsons, Ashok Brummeyer, Kavi Brummeyer, and Terran Martin; sister, Juanita Moore; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger; son, Roger Ritsch, Jr.; grandson, Troy Brummeyer; and brother, Henry Garrett.
