A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

Interment: Lakeview Cemetery, Chetek, Wisconsin

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorials.

Marilyn K. Tompkins, age 77, of Altoona, died on Friday, October 13, 2023 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire. 

Marilyn was born July 24, 1946 to the late Millward and Marcie (Keith) Weldon in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. She graduated from Chetek High School. Marilyn was united in marriage to Thomas Tompkins on April 17, 1982 at North Presbyterian Church in Eau Claire. She retired from Uniroyal after many years of employment. Marilyn loved photography and attending car shows. 

She is survived by her siblings, Michael Weldon of Eau Claire, Dave (Cheryl) Weldon of New Auburn, and Beth (Tom) Foster of St. Paul, MN; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. 

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Tom on May 5, 2006, and sister, Sharon Weldon.
