Kimberly Sue Lynn, age 64, born September 1, 1959 in Eau Claire, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2024, while visiting close friends with her husband, Patrick Lynn, at one of their favorite places to visit together, Lake Holcombe.

Kim is survived by her husband of 45 years, Pat; her son, Ryan; daughter, Erin; daughter in-law, Heather; granddaughter, Josie; sister, Vicky Samuelson; nephews, Roger Shoemaker and Eric Samuelson; niece, Lindsay Shoemaker; many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Joan Douphner; and sister, Deborah Shoemaker.

Kim was a terrific wife, mother, nana, aunt, friend, and an absolute joy to everyone who knew her. Her ability to touch the lives of everyone who knew her was one of the many things which made her so special.

She continually put the needs of her family and loved ones before her own which made her such a fantastic caregiver. Kim did in-home daycare for nearly two decades, serving as a mom not just to her own children but to so many others as well, many of whom still reached out to her as adults with children of their own.

Kim loved with her whole heart and especially loved animals, bird watching, her art projects, music, food, laughing, traveling, experiencing new places and things, but more than anything spending time with her family and countless friends. She was a source of strength and wisdom to all she knew.

Her loss will be felt deeply by all who knew her, but her spirit will continue to live on through all of the lives she touched in so many ways.

Honoring a life with a meaningful service is an important step in the grief process and is a gift to their family and friends —
a gift of memories and a gift of healing
