Interment: Rest Haven Cemetery, Town of Washington, Wisconsin

Elsie A. Stelter, age 99, of Eau Claire, died Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at Dove Healthcare-West.

Elsie was born on August 13, 1912 to the late Martin and Emma (Ringhand) Lambrecht in Augusta, Wisconsin. She was the last born of 11 children.  On January 26, 1929, Elsie married Edgar Stelter in Augusta. She loved remodeling homes with her husband, gardening, sewing, crocheting, collecting antique head vases, quilting and weaving rugs for many people in the area. Elsie was an active member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Elaine Long and Shirley Garside both of Eau Claire; grandchildren, Richard (Luanne) Long of Eleva, Connie (Michael) Omodth of Eau Claire, Gregory Long of DeRidder, LA, Tim (Dawn) Garside of Cadott, Dan (Desi) Garside of Colorado; great grandchildren, Jessica Long, Becky (Larry) Isensee, Jacob Long, Scott (Amanda) Omodth, Steven Omodth, Mathew Long, Travis (Heather) Garside, Ashley Garside, Josh Garside; great great grandchildren, Winter Omodth, Mica Omodth, Zander Garside and Jaxon Garside; sister-in-law, Vivian Lambrecht; many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her 10 brothers and sisters; son-in-law, Cecil Long; grand daughter-in-law, Gail Long.
