Melinda Lou Rasmussen, age 53, of Eau Claire, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, November 22, 2014 after a long, courageous battle with breast cancer. She passed away at home surrounded by her family.

Melinda was born May 13, 1961 to Marvel and Betty (Meinshausen) Juve in Minneapolis, MN. On May 25, 1996, Melinda married the love of her life, Eric Rasmussen, in Eau Claire. She worked as a dispatcher at Walmart Distribution Center in Menonomie from 1999 until the time of her passing. She was known as Aunt Lou Lou and Auntie Bling Bling to all of her nieces and nephews, because of her great love for jewelry. She loved music, music festivals, camping with her family, football - especially the Badgers and Packers.

Melinda was all about family and never missed a birthday, graduation or wedding. She is known for her generosity and kindness that was shown to all. She will be remembered the most by her beautiful smile which lit up the room, her infectious laugh (don't make me get loud), and her deep faith in God.

Melinda is survived by her husband, Eric; parents, Marvel and Betty Juve of Eau Claire; sisters, Marsha (Bill) Steen of Big Lake, MN and Melonie (Brenton) Balken of Fond du Lac, WI; brothers, Steven (Tammy) Juve of Blaine, MN and Scott (Jeanne) Juve of Appleton, WI; mother- and father-in-law, Rod and Sharon Rasmussen of Muskego, WI; sisters-in-law, Jeanne (John) Sneed of Menominee Falls, WI and Julie Ninham of Milwaukee, WI; brothers-in-law, Michael Rasmussen of Milwaukee, WI and James Blake of California; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other family and friends.

Special thanks to Dr. Tana and the amazing, caring staff and nurses at Marshfield Clinic Cancer Center in Eau Claire.
