Wendy A. Root, age 58, of Eau Claire passed away the night of Tuesday, December 28, 2021 of complications from her breathing at her residence in Seymour.

Wendy was born on September 3, 1963 to Duane and Zoe Patraz in Eau Claire. Following her education at North High School, she was a stay at home mother and worked several different jobs. Wendy loved books and horror movies. She loved being around family and friends. Her humor and love of life will never be forgotten.

She leaves behind her pride and joy, son, Russell Root III and his wife, Amber, both stationed in Lemoore, CA with the U.S. Navy; her loving mother, Zoe A. Patraz of Eau Claire; siblings, Ronald Patraz of Fon Du Lac and Mark Patraz of Eau Claire along with many other relatives and friends; and her beloved dog, Junior.

Wendy was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Russell K. Root Jr; father, Duane Patraz, and her grandparents.
