George Gibson Magaw, Jr., affectionately known as "Gib" by his family and friends, age 74, of Eau Claire, WI passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side the morning of Wednesday, September 9, 2020 from congestive heart failure. He was born December 9, 1945 to the late George Sr. and Ethee Magaw.

Gib's entire career was dedicated to all facets of the electrical industry until retiring in 2008 from the Wiremold Company/Legrand. Upon retirement, Gib spent time volunteering at his church and with Trout Unlimited. He had many hobbies that included fishing, hunting, curling, and cooking. He was most relaxed when he was on a lake with family and friends spending quality time.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Kathy; son, Brian (Emily) Magaw of Johnsburg, IL; daughters, Ann (Brandon) Gage of Waco, TX, Sara (Josh) Moore of Eau Claire; grandchildren, Zach and Jake Magaw, Ashley, Grace, and Brett Gage, and Brady and Cooper Moore, who will miss him greatly; brother, Scott (Vickie) Magaw; sister, Betty Magaw; many other relatives and friends.

Gib was preceded in death by his brother, Mike Magaw; father and mother-in-law, Fred and Ona Lorey; and brother-in-law, Robert Lorey.

Honoring a life with a meaningful service is an important step in the grief process and is a gift to their family and friends —
a gift of memories and a gift of healing
