Stefanie "Stefie" Jane Faber, 51, of Eau Claire, passed away peacefully at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire, WI, on Monday, March 2, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on September 2, 1974, Stefie brought light and love into the world from her very first breath. Though she faced medical and developmental challenges throughout her life, she met each day with courage, resilience, and a smile that could brighten any room.

Stefie had a special love for music, especially the "You Are My Sunshine" song. She loved the feel of sunshine on her face while sitting outside on her deck, coloring pictures, cutting strings, holding keys, connecting hair ties, having a cup of coffee, and eating M&Ms. She enjoyed being around family and friends and celebrated the joy in every moment. Her smile and laughter were contagious.

Stefie is survived by her devoted parents, Bernard and Carol Faber; her oldest sister, Christi (Brian) Streiff; older sister, Carla (Tom) Saxen; brother, Steve Faber; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and caregivers who cherished her deeply.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Ben and Bertha Faber, Doris Austad, and Carlton and LaVaughan Austad.

Though her life was too short, Stefie's impact was profound. She taught those around her the true meaning of unconditional love, strength, kindness, and celebrating every moment and simple joy. She reminded everyone who knew her that every person's life is a priceless gift.

Honoring a life with a meaningful service is an important step in the grief process and is a gift to their family and friends —
a gift of memories and a gift of healing
