Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at Spirit Lutheran Church (1310 Main Street) in Eau Claire with Rev. Dr. JonPaul Dragseth officiating

Visitation: 10:00 a.m. until time of service at church on Wednesday

Interment: Evergreen Cemetery, Colfax, Wisconsin

Florence "Flo" Mae (Anderson) Gullickson, 99, of Eau Claire, died on Monday, August 24, 2026, at Caretta Senior Living in Eau Clarie. 

Flo was born May 26, 1927, to the late Nim C. and Dena (Danielson) Anderson in Spring Valley, Wisconsin. She was confirmed June 7, 1942, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Spring Valley and graduated in 1946 from Spring Valley High School. Florence had a tremendous faith in her Lord Jesus Christ which she shared with many people she met.

On June 25, 1947, Flo married Richard Peterson at the Lutheran Parsonage in Spring Valley. They later divorced October 27, 1961.

Flo graduated from The Accredited Schools of Beauty Culture, Inc. in Eau Claire on November 21, 1961. She loved her clients and this became her life-long career.

Flo met the love of her life, Vernon A. Gullickson, and they were married at the Stillwater Courthouse on January 8, 1964. After Vern's retirement, Florence opened Town's Edge Beauty Salon on Seymour Road in Eau Claire with Vern as the business manager.

In her later years, she moved into Milestone Assisted Living and then Caretta Senior Living - both in Eau Claire. She enjoyed helping and talking to all residents. If someone was new to the facility, Florence always sat and talked to them to help make the transition easier.

In recent times, Keith Johnson became like a second son to her. He would take her to church, shopping, occasional lunches, and appointments with no hesitation. They had many wonderful conversations, and he was truly a blessing for her. She will be sadly missed by many relatives and friends that loved and cared for her.

Florence is survived by her step family: children, Lamoine (Mary) Gullickson of Chattanooga, TN, Verna (Joe) Graci of Toms River, NJ, Melissa (Chris) Krocheski of Fair Oaks, CA, and Amy Gullickson of Blaine, MN; great grandchildren, Tyler, Triston, and Gabriel Gullickson and Cassandra Krocheski; many special nieces and nephews of the Peterson, Gullickson, and Anderson families; special friends, Cindy Halls and Keith Johnson.

Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Vern; stepson, Randall Gullickson; grandson, Shawn Gullickson; sisters, Nethis (Martin) Peterson, Trudella Anderson, and Erva (William) Lundgaard; brothers, Ernest (Frances) Anderson and Minnard (Della) Anderson; and nephews, Byron (Doris) Anderson and Duane Peterson; and niece, Mary (Peterson) Klinger.
