A private family service will be held at a later date at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Alice A. Humfeld, age 99, of Eau Claire, died on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Cambridge Senior Living in Eau Claire. 

Alice was born in La Crosse County, daughter of the late Hakon and Rose (Brown) Peterson on November 30, 1925. She was born, went to school and worked in the La Crosse County area until she moved to Eau Claire in 1964. Then she worked for R.W. Scobie, Inc until her retirement in 1988. After her retirement, she was an active volunteer at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Sacred Heart Hospital and the Eau Claire County Department of Aging.

She is survived by her daughters, Theresa (John) Irmiter of Minneapolis, MN, and Patricia Fischer of Eau Claire; grandchildren, Tim Fischer, Chaley Henderson, Kristin Corcoran Randazzo, Jonni Campbell, Matthew (Rachael) Corcoran, Quincy Irmiter and B.J. Irmiter; 13 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.

Alice was preceded in death by her daughter, Judith Corcoran; brothers, Vincent (Alvina) Peterson, and Raymond (Helen) Peterson; sister, Marie (Art) Harebo; nieces, Margery Kramer and Debi Buhr; and nephew, David Peterson.
