Christopher S. Ripp, age 34, of Eau Claire died unexpectedly on Sunday, July 7, 2013 in Lake Delton, Wisconsin.

Chris was born December 13, 1978 and was received as a gift through adoption on January 8, 1979 by Kenneth and Sue (Acker) Ripp. In 1997, he graduated from Memorial High School.  He received his associate degree from the Chippewa Valley Technical College in 2001 with an emphasis in Business and Marketing.

His real estate license took him to many wonderful places; Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas, Honolulu, Maui, and San Luis Obispo. He "teased" that we would "just have to" travel to visit him. He expanded our horizons.

Chris enjoyed a variety of sports, loved to travel, watch movies, listen to music, and read inspirational books. He had a love for all people and especially for those on the margin.

Chris is survived by his parents, Ken and Sue; brother, Brian (Chris Martyn) of Minneapolis; grandparents, Dolores Ripp, Henry and Dolores Acker all of Waunakee; godparents, Steve and Barb Parrell of Black Earth; special friends, Jeff and Maggie Voth (and their sons, Travis and Trevor) of Chippewa Falls; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jerome Ripp; uncle, David Ripp.

Honoring a life with a meaningful service is an important step in the grief process and is a gift to their family and friends —
a gift of memories and a gift of healing
