Patricia "Pat" L. Jennings, age 83, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Mayo Clinic Health System-Eau Claire with family by her side.

Pat was born March 29, 1942, to the late Robert and Esther (Piel) Ruppelt in Eau Claire where she was a lifelong resident. Following graduation from Memorial High School she received her nursing degree. Pat dedicated 27 years to geriatric nursing being employed with the Syverson Home, Grace Foundation/Grace Edgewood and Mayo Clinic Health System. Pat was working as a Nursing Supervisor when she retired to take care of her granddaughter, Rachael.

On July 21, 1961, Pat was united in marriage to Gary Jennings at Lake Street United Methodist Church in Eau Claire. Together they made their home on the north side raising their children. Even though Pat could be hardheaded, she was the rock for her family through tough times and was always willing to help others. Being steadfast in her faith helped Pat persevere through life and various health challenges. Pat loved her cats, watching the birds at the feeder, and tending to her flowers on the porch, and was an avid knitter and reader. Her warm heart and loving kindness will be missed by her family and friends.

Pat is survived by her daughter, Shawn Jennings; granddaughter/daughter, Rachael Jennings; granddaughter, Nichelle Jennings; brother, Jack (Wendy) Ruppelt; nephew, Roger (Judy) Ruppelt; other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary (2001) and brother and sister-in-law, Robert J. (Shirley) Ruppelt (2000).

Honoring a life with a meaningful service is an important step in the grief process and is a gift to their family and friends —
a gift of memories and a gift of healing
