Interment: Memorial Garden, Ascension Lutheran Church, Minocqua, WI

Reverend Arlan H. Brandt, age 86, of Eau Claire, WI, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at Oakwood Villa in Altoona, Wisconsin.

Born July 12, 1926 in Ellendale, North Dakota, he was a Lutheran Minister for over 50 years, retiring in 1991 after serving parishes in Vestal, NY; Eden Valley, NY; La Grange Park, IL; and Aurora, IL. 

He is survived by Delores, his wife of 61 years; children and their spouses, David (Lee Ann) of Carterville, IL, Dan (Diane) of Eau Claire, Mark (Kenneth Pu) of Tampa, FL, Tom (Cathy) of Earlville, IL, Rev. Joel (Sue) of Huntington Station, Long Island, NY, and Sara (David) Beach of Aurora, IL; 16 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brother, Rev. Victor (Irene) of Willowbrook, IL; and sisters, Leota Stapel of Wausau, WI, and Velma Schmidt of Gladstone, MI; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff of Oakwood Villa for the excellent care they gave to Arlan during his seven month stay.
