![]() Phyllis (Noyes) Woodford was born December 12, 1934, the fifth child, into the family of Evans and Minnie (Missman) Noyes. She passed away from her physical suffering on Saturday, January 24, 2026, in Altoona, Wisconsin, the last surviving member of her siblings. "Phyl" graduated from Eau Claire High School and then married her high school sweetheart, Lyle, in Mason City, Iowa upon his enlistment in the U.S. Army. She worked at home as a wife and mom raising their three daughters. When the girls were older, Phyl went to work at the neighbor's mink farm for several years. Later, she trained and worked for H&R Block as a tax preparer for many years. Even into her 70's, Phyl volunteered at the EC Senior Center checking tax returns. She, along with husband Lyle and three girls in tow, enjoyed a full life of boating, camping, snowmobiling, and fishing almost every weekend. Phyl is survived by her daughters, Susan (John) Kai and Becky (Dennis) Koontz both of Eau Claire; grandchildren, Jennifer (Paul) Musi, Jill Hintz, Janelle (Nick) Burr, Adam Koontz, and Geoff (Melissa) Koontz; great grandchildren, Braelynn and Brynnley Hintz, Alison Burr, Karson, Landon, James, and William Koontz; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle (2017); daughter, Deanna (2023); and her five siblings. |
