Michael "Spike" B. SullivanDied: Friday, May 17th, 2013 A Celebration of his life will be held at a later date
![]() Michael B. "Spike" Sullivan has joined his parents, Ronald and Nancy Sullivan in the Kingdom of Heaven. Born May 19th, 1962 in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, Michael passed away of natural causes on May 17th, 2013 after living 50 years and 363 days. He graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1980 and proudly joined the United States Marine Corp in 1981. He was awarded the Expert Marksmanship medal, numerous citations of merit, and was honorably discharged in 1985 at the rank of Corporal. While stationed in Japan he was the USMC Base Champion in table tennis. Upon discharge from the Marines, he worked primarily as a diesel mechanic and at several manufacturing companies in the Chippewa Valley. As an avid sportsman, he died while enjoying the great outdoors which he so loved. He was an exceptional hunter and fisherman and was most comfortable in the woods, on the water, and with his beloved Brittany Spaniels. He was the most naturally talented sportsmen of the Sullivan clan and enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews teaching them the fine points of hunting and fishing. As an athlete, he competed in numerous Wisconsin High School and AAU Championship powerlifting meets in the late 1970s; he was best known for his deadlifts. During this same time period, he too was a member of the Lawler's Haulers rope pulling team. His pride and joy was his classic 1964 Chevy Impala. He enjoyed loud classic rock, had a great sense of humor, and could tell a whopper of a story. He had a kind heart, was free spirited, walked into the wind, and lived his life by his standards. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald James and Nancy Ann (Nadeau) Sullivan, Donald and Cecilia Nadeau, Daniel (Barney) and Frances (Blanchard) Sullivan and is survived by his siblings Patricia Page (Desmond Arnold) of Everett, WA; Gary (Terry) Sullivan, Sr. of Charleston, SC; Scott (Wendy) Sullivan of Colorado Springs; CO and Kelly (Lisa) Sullivan of Chippewa Falls, WI.
