 Sharon Joy Rasmussen, age 59, of Oregon (formerly of Eau Claire) died on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from complications of Glioblastoma. Nadine, her loving caretaker, took care of her at home during the final months of her life. Sharon was born on March 25, 1966, in Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin to Rev. Dale and Jean (Brenden) Rasmussen. She lived in Spring Green, WI until 1972 when the whole family was in a devastating car accident and they moved to Eau Claire. She attended Eau Claire schools, then Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. After achieving her Master's degree, she worked as a social worker in several states. Her final employment was at Davita Dialysis Center in Oregon, where she lived with her partner, Nadine Malone, and her dear dogs and kitties. She loved working outdoors with her chain saw, her log splitter, and lawn mower! Sharon was especially proficient in researching and organizing family genealogy. She enjoyed being with family near and far. She is survived by her mother, Jean Rasmussen Sivertson; sister, Susan Thorsen (Fride) in Norway; brother, Daniel Brenna (Andreas) in Germany; her partner, Nadine Malone; four nieces; 10 great nieces and nephews; and many cousins of the Brenden, Rasmussen, and Sivertson families and dear friends. Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Dale; brother, Peter; her grandparents; stepfather, Millard Sivertson; and all her aunts and uncles. |
