Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Lake Street United Methodist Church (337 Lake Street, Eau Claire) with Reverend Jerry Morris officiating

Visitation: from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening at the funeral home and also one hour prior to service at church on Saturday

Harry William Lowe, 80, of Eau Claire, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. He was under the loving care of his grandson, Josh and St. Croix Hospice. 

Harry was born May 18, 1946, to the late Harold W. and Ruth E. (Robertson) Lowe in Eau Claire where he was a life-long resident. On November 26, 1964, he married JaNan Sheppard at Lake Street United Methodist Church in Eau Claire.

A lifelong believer in hard work, Harry dedicated himself to providing for his family, often working long hours seven days a week. He lived by the belief that if you wanted something, you earned it. Despite the challenges he faced in life, he became a highly respected truck driver and proudly won a truck driving rodeo, earning a memorable trip to Las Vegas with his wife. In his retirement years, he owned a tow truck business that he continued to operate until Macular Degeneration forced him to hang up his keys.

Known for his friendly nature and gift for conversation, he never met a stranger. His outgoing personality served him well throughout the years as he sold recreational vehicles and built lasting friendships wherever he went.

Many summers were spent camping and boating with family on Lake Wissota. He enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley, Red Sovine, and the music of the 1950s. He loved attending car shows and looked forward to the Blues Festival at Owen Park, where he could reconnect with many of his high school friends. He also enjoyed life's simple pleasures, especially steak, ice cream, and anything red, his favorite color.

Harry had a kind and generous heart. Whether helping stranded motorists through his towing service or offering a helping hand to someone in need, he was always willing to assist others, even when there was nothing to gain in return. Most of all, he was devoted to his family and took immense pride in his children and grandchildren. Through his example, he taught the values of honesty, hard work, strength, dedication, kindness, and standing up for oneself.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him. Though his voice is now silent, the lessons he taught, the example he set, and the love he shared will remain with his family forever.

He got it honest, and he passed that honesty, hard work, and kindness on to those who loved him most: his wife, JaNan; children, Jody (Jackie) Lowe, Joanna (Rick) Thompson, Jill (Frank) Scholl, and Johnny (Jenna) Lowe; grandchildren, Jessie Fischer, Jaycie Lowe, Josie Lowe, Hunter Lowe, Olivia Lowe, Joey Deutschlander, Josh Deutschlander, Molly Scholl, Katie Scholl, Tyler Scholl, and Lydia Lowe; great grandchildren, Dakota and Nora Fischer; siblings, Connie Stetzer, Linda Sundae, John Lowe, and Dorothy Martinek; many other family members and friends.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents; stillborn baby, David; and sisters, Dona (Melvin) Krienke and Bonie (Del) Kelly; brother-in-law, Steve Stetzer.
