A Celebration of Life is being planned for next spring due to Covid-19

Mary J. Anderson, age 80, of Chippewa Falls, died on Monday, August 24, 2020 at HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital, Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.

Mary was born on March 23, 1940 to the late Lloyd and Harriet (Kinney) Farnsworth in Minneapolis, MN. She was baptized on April 21, 1940 at Church of St. Thomas the Apostle, Minneapolis, MN and graduated high school from St. Joseph's Academy, St. Paul, MN in 1958.

After high school, Mary attended St. Mary's School of Nursing in Rochester, MN and then married Stephen Anderson in St. Paul on November 25, 1961. Mary and Steve resided in Amery, WI and had two sons, Daniel and Michael. Later, the family moved to Eau Claire, WI. Mary worked at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire for many years.

During early retirement years, Mary and Steve wintered in Mission, TX and La Feria, TX. Mary enjoyed reading, playing cards with friends, knitting, crocheting, sewing/needlepoint and tending her African violets. She particularly enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, attending their activities.

Mary is survived by her sons, Daniel Anderson (Edith Schlosser) and Michael (Rachel) Anderson; grandchildren, Alexandra, Juli Ya, Zachary, Ayden and Lilly Mei; sister, Terri (Rick) Hable; nieces and nephew, Heather Hable, Jason (Ann) Hable, and Rachael (Todd) Molldrem; other relatives and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Steve, and brother, William Farnsworth.
