Kathleen M. Johnson, age 70, of Augusta, WI, died Friday, January 29, 2021 at Mayo Clinic Health System - Eau Claire.

Kathleen was born on August 23, 1950 to the late Clifford and Irene (Penney) Fullington in Fort Lewis, WA. In 1968, she graduated from Burlington High School in Burlington, WI. Kathleen went on to proudly earn a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 1972, a Master's of Education from the University of Minnesota in 1994, a Specialist Degree in Education in 1998, and a Graduate Certificate for K-12 Superintendent's Licensure in 2004 - both from Saint Mary's University.

Kathleen was a lifelong educator. She started as a third grade teacher before going on to become a school counselor. Then with the South Saint Paul Public Schools, she was a Dean of Students, Junior High Principal, and Director of Human Resources before retiring in June 2015 as the Director of K-12 Alternative Programs and Adult Basic Education. Kathleen poured her love, time, and energy into her children, grandchildren, and disadvantaged students. She served as an informal life coach and counselor to many, guiding them on their life journey showing genuine love and concern for friends and family. Her many talents included cooking, crafts, and decoration. Kathleen brought zest, positive energy, and happiness wherever she went.

She is survived by her husband, Glenn; children, Brooke Johnson, Sarah Johnson (Mr. Victor Vanderberg), and Grant Johnson (Mr. Kelly Heatherman); grandchildren, Calla and Aiden Vanderberg; brother, Jim Fullington; sister, Sandra Mathieu (Fullington); nephews, Kyle Fullington and Karl Fullington; niece, Kassie Fullington and Maggie Mathieu; and Robert Jin Mathieu; other relatives and friends.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Michael Clifford Fullington.
