A private burial will held in May at Pine Grove Cemetery in Waterbury, CT

James G. "Jim" Carhuff, age 83, of Eau Claire passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the Syverson Lutheran Home.

Jim was born in the Bronx, New York on November 8, 1929. He proudly grew up in New York City one of six children of the late John & Anne (Lally) Carhuff. He served in the US. Army. In March of 1956 he married Veronica "Ronnie" Hagelstein.

Jim is survived by his children, James (Kathy) of Puyallup WA, Joe Carhuff of Sherman CT, Peter (Linda) Carhuff of Eau Claire, John (Paula) Carhuff of Vancouver WA, and Jane Carhuff of Puyallup WA; as well as 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Ronnie; two brothers; and a sister.

Jim had a great sense of humor, and a very strong personality. He will be missed by his family, friends, and acquaintances. He is now with Ronnie, who he missed dearly.
