Visitation: from 4:00 p.m. until time of service on Monday at the funeral home

Interment: Rest Haven Cemetery, Town of Washington, Wisconsin

Doris H. Hanson, age 92, of Eleva passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 peacefully at Oakwood Villa in Altoona, WI.

Doris was born on December 5, 1925 in the Town of Pleasant Valley to the late Johnny and Ester (Stomprud) Olson. When she was 16, she moved out and worked various jobs. On March 8, 1947 Doris married Earl Hanson and they had four children. Doris loved staying home and raising her children. For over 40 years Doris made her famous lefse which was sent to several countries. On her busiest year, she made 26,000 individual lefse. Doris enjoyed baking, cooking, spending time with her family, friends, grandchildren and her great grandchildren. Doris had a great smile and you couldn't help smile when she did. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children, Betty (Mike) Bauer of Mondovi, Tim (Nancy) Hanson of Eau Claire and Rodney Hanson of Eleva; grandchildren, Amy and Jenny Hanson, Jayme (Amy) Bauer, and Jodi (Jeremy) Bundy; great-grandchildren, Logan, Kalea and Aubryn; sisters & brothers, Florence (Duane) Deutscher of Mondovi, Lorraine (Eugene) Bauer of Janesville, Edith (LeRoy) Cleasby of Milton, Delores (Duane) Bauer of Durand, Carol Sell of Wausau, and Dennis (Sharon) Olson of Eleva; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Earl; son, Robert; sisters, Florence, Leone & Violet; brothers, Jerome and Russell.
