STUTTGEN, Donald N., age 85

Died: Monday, November 10th, 2025

Memorial Gathering: Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. It will begin with a short prayer service.  

Interment: Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, Wisconsin at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wisconsin Special Olympics www.specialolympics.org or Newman Catholic Parish www.newmanec.com  in Donald's name.

 

Donald N. Stuttgen, age 85, of Eau Claire, died peacefully on Monday, November 10, 2025 with his family surrounding him in love at Mayo Clinic Health System - Eau Claire. 

Donald was born on October 28, 1940 to the late Nicholas and Hildegard (Wettstein) Stuttgen. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and bowler. He instilled in his children the importance of community service and volunteering whenever possible. His faith and family were the most important to him.  

He is survived by his children, Donna (Martin) Holtz and Daniel Stuttgen; and was beloved Papa to: Nicholas (Jane) and their son, Avery, Elizabeth, Annamarie and Matthew Holtz, and Katie and Jack Stuttgen.

He is also survived by his brothers, Bernard (Colene), Anthony (Debbie), Melvin, Charles (Darla), William (Debbie), James, Jon, Dale (Sandy) and Robert (Pamela) Stuttgen; sisters, Carol Williams, Delores and Sr. Kathleen Stuttgen; many other family members and friends.

Donald was preceded in death by, Carol L. Stuttgen; brothers, Lawrence, Thomas, and Raymond Stuttgen; sister, Patricia (Clifford) Wentzel; brother-in-law, Edward Williams; sister-in-law, Carol Stuttgen.
