Arva L. Kvam, age 90, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, December 8, 2018. She was born on December 17, 1927 to the late Harry and Louise (Peters) Prescher in Elgin, MN and raised in Stewartville, MN. Arva was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

On May 14, 1960, she married Joseph Kvam at Big Canoe Lutheran Church in Decorah, IA. In July 2011, Arva lost the love of her life, Joe, and missed him terribly. They traveled the country together and enjoyed a wonderful retirement in both Arizona and Wisconsin. Devoted parents to four children, Arva and Joe lived life their way. She was a Gold Star Sister and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and VFW Auxiliary for over 60 years in Stewartville, MN.

Arva will be remembered as a true friend who loved and enjoyed life to the fullest.

She is survived by her children, Nancy L. (Guy) Hansen of Eleva, WI, Ky H. (Dawn) Kvam of Gilbert, AZ, Martin J. (Shandra) Kvam of Fernandina Beach, FL, and Mary J. (Dwight) Erickson of Belleair, FL; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; other family members and friends.

Arva was preceded in death by her husband, Joe, and her brother, Harold.
