Karen's family suggests memorials be directed to your local Humane Association/Society in memory of her love for animals

Karen J. (Tietz) McGough, age 72, formerly of Eau Claire, died on Monday, June 20, 2016 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa Falls.

Karen was born on December 15, 1943 to Harrison and Dolores (Nelson) Tietz in Eau Claire. She was a 1961 graduate of Eau Claire Memorial High School. On June 27, 1970, she married Bill McGough and they later divorced. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for UW-EC and also UW-Madison before working many years for the Post Master with the U.S. Postal Service in St. Paul, MN, retiring May 29, 2009.

Karen is survived by her brothers, Wayne Tietz and Roger (Sue) Tietz both of Chippewa Falls; nephews, Brian Morris and Matthew Tietz; niece, Jennifer Tietz; aunt, Jean DeSanders; many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; aunts; uncles; and former husband, Bill McGough.
