Visitation: one hour prior to service at church

Interment: Lakeview Cemetery, Eau Claire, Wisconsin

 

Lois A. Wittwer, age 85, of Eau Claire, died on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Cambridge Senior Living in Eau Claire.

Lois was born on September 28, 1938 to the late Floyd and Veva (Unbehaun) Welker in Richland County, Wisconsin. She attended and graduated from Eau Claire High School. On August 27, 1960, Lois was united in marriage to Darrell A. Wittwer at Olivet Church in Eau Claire. During her life she enjoyed working at Northwest Fabrics, Career Development Center and Hutchinson Technology until her retirement. In her spare time, Lois loved to do ceramics, read and cheer on the Milwaukee Brewers. In her younger years she loved to coach and play in women's softball and snowmobile with the Pleasant Valley Rough Riders. Her true love was spending time with her family and friends at their lake home on Island Lake.

She is survived by her husband, Darrell; daughter, Carrie (Larry) Simmons of Eleva; son, Brad (Monica) Wittwer of Chippewa Falls; grandchildren, Leah Wittwer and Brooke Wittwer (fiancé Lucas Kallenbach), Oat Wongvanichjitt and Yasuho Morishita; great grandchildren, Brielle Deutschlander, Gracyn Wittwer, and Macilyn Wittwer; brothers, James (Jeanene) Welker and Clinton (Nyla) Welker; many nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Joyce (Kurt) Kaspar.
