HOLMAN, Janet I., age 83

Died: Wednesday, September 17th, 2014

Celebration of her life: 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at the funeral home with Pastor David Forke officiating.  Visitation will be 1/2 hour prior to service.

Interment: Rest Haven Cemetery, Town of Washington, Wisconsin

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred

 

Janet "Jan" I. Holman, age 83, of Eau Claire died peacefully at Sacred Heart Hospital on Wednesday, September 17, 2014.

Janet was born on November 27, 1930 to the late Charles "Ted" and Leona (Raedel) Hagen. During high school she worked as a bookkeeper for the family business, OK Rubber Welders. She became co-owner of the family business with her brother, Chuck Hagen following her father's death. On July 15, 1950 she married Glen Holman at St. John's Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. She was an avid bowler and most remembered for her love of chocolate and Mickey Mouse. Janet enjoyed traveling with her husband and was an avid Packers fan.

She is survived by her sister, Marian (Marv) Grzys of Escondido, CA; brother, James (Judie) Hagen of The Woodlands, TX; sister-in-law, Arlene Hagen;nieces and nephews, Richard (Connie) Hagen, Mark (Debbie) Lorenz, Jodi (Dale) Otto; David Lorenz, Jan (Kevin) Howe, Jon Hagen and Jill (Rick) Stevens. many other family and friends.

Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Glen; infant brother, Richard Thomas Hagen; sister, Carole Thorn; brother, Charles Hagen; brothers-in-law, Clifford Lorenz and Daryl Thorn and her best friend, Katherine Sorenson.
