Visitation: Wednesday, December 10, 2014 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Oakwood Homes Community Room (3802 Damon Street, Eau Claire)

Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Grace Lutheran Church in Alma Center with the Reverend Steve Rutter officiating

Interment: a family interment will be held at a later date

Leo E. Janke, age 93, of Eau Claire, (formerly of Humbird) passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at his home.

Leo was born on March 26, 1921 to the late Ludwig and Annie (Dettinger) Janke in Garden Valley Township in Jackson County, Wisconsin. On June 6, 1946,  he was united in marriage to Phyllis A. Lightfoot. Leo was a hard working dairy farmer for many years, a loving husband and respected father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his children, Rick (Lou Ann) Janke, Peggy (Orland) Staves, David (Liz) Janke, and Harry (Louise) Janke; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; brothers, Orin and Elton; many other family members and friends.

Leo was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis, and brother, Richard.

The family would like to thank Dr. Jean Anderson, the Mayo Clinic Health System Hospice team, especially Judy Lust and Marne Buckley, for their extraordinary, loving care.
