Doris M. Moen, age 63, of Eau Claire died peacefully on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at home surrounded by family members.

She was born on October 21, 1949 in Two Rivers, Wisconsin to the late Lester and Marjorie (Schroeder) Stanull. Doris graduated from Two Rivers High School in 1968 and continued her education at the University of Minnesota-St. Paul Radiology Program. After moving to Eau Claire for her internship at Sacred Heart Hospital, Doris met the love of her life, Robert James Moen. They soon started a family and settled roots in Eau Claire.

As a child Doris enjoyed fishing for perch on the pier of Lake Michigan. Before retirement, Doris enjoyed accompanying her husband with their RV to his various work sites throughout the states. When Doris was young, she joined and became a very active member of the International Order of Job's Daughters and was a past Honored Queen. She continued the tradition with her daughters when they became the age to be active as well.

Before her health was failing Doris enjoyed sewing, quilting and making crafts. Doris loved watching NASCAR (she was a huge Paul Menard fan), truck races, Packer games (a huge Brett Favre fan), watching her TV shows and playing solitaire.

Doris is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Robert; daughters, Kristine (Todd) Brantner of Elk Mound; Karrie (Jason) Dehnke of Eau Claire; 7 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild; sister, Sue (James) Thomas of Milwaukee; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Doris was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter, Karissa Brantner; and aunt, Violet Stanull.

Honoring a life with a meaningful service is an important step in the grief process and is a gift to their family and friends —
a gift of memories and a gift of healing
