Donald "Don" D. Brown, age 81, of Eau Claire passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Mayo Clinic Health System-Eau Claire surrounded by his family.

Donald was born on January 29, 1936 to the late Darrell and Theresa (Whiteside) Brown in Eau Claire. He was a member of St. James the Greater Catholic Church. After graduating from Regis High School in 1954, he joined the U.S. Army serving for 2 years. On June 21, 1958, he married Yvonne LaFrania at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Chippewa Falls.

Through his working years Don was employed by Uniroyal Rubber Company for 22 years and then worked for Marx Brown Office Supply while also selling insurance for Bankers Life and Casualty before retiring. He decided to return to work and was a delivery man for 11 years with Mega Foods. He enjoyed the casino and watching football and the Badgers on TV. He held a special place in his heart for his two grandchildren and will be deeply missed by all.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Yvonne; children, Greg, Tim, and Laura (Jason) Nelson; grandchildren, Denna and Nicholas; brother, Stuart; other family members and friends.
