Lucille E. Johnson, age 85, of Eau Claire died on Friday, March 21, 2014 at Care Partners in Eau Claire surrounded by her family.

Lucille was born on August 3, 1928 to the late Frederick and Ruth (Reistad) Fobes in Eau Claire. On May 11, 1946 she married Peter Johnson, Jr. in Eau Claire. For many years she worked for Uniroyal before her retirement.

As a lifelong Eau Claire resident, Lucille gave back to her community for many years and in many ways. She served as a Boy Scout and Girl Scout Leader; knitted newborn hats and booties for Luther Hospital being honored for her volunteer services; collected toys year round to donate to many area shelters; delivered Meals On Wheels to the aged and homebound; sang in her church choir; and served as an Elk Lady Officer for the Eau Claire Elks Lodge 402 and was awarded Elk Lady of the year in1986. Her kind, gentle and caring ways will be greatly missed by her family and community.

She is survived by her husband, Peter; children, Michael (Wanda) Johnson of Sidney, MA, Jacqueline (Robert) Hanson of Stone Lake, Carolyn (Clay) McCarty of Eau Claire, Mark (Nancy) Johnson of Eau Claire, and Christopher (Nancy) Johnson of Eau Claire; 19 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and one 5^th generation grandchild; many other relatives and friends.

Lucille was preceded in death by her infant son, Gregory; brother, Marvin Fobes; sister, Helen Pederson; and mother- and father-in-law, Bernice and Peter Johnson, Sr.
