Shirley A. Bretschneider, age 90, of Chippewa Falls passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at her daughter's home in Colfax.

Shirley was born on January 26, 1927 to the late Walter and Agnes (Kuehl) Neubauer in Milwaukee, WI. On April 13, 1946, she married Erich O. Bretschneider in White Fish Bay, Wisconsin. Shirley loved life and lived hers to the fullest. She loved to sew fashionable clothes, knitting, gardening, fishing and being in the fresh air and sunshine. Shirley also had a love for playing cards and occasionally going to the casino to play the penny and nickel slot machines. But most of all, Shirley loved her family. 

She is survived by children, Erich (Jeannie) of Ocean Shores, WA, Corinne "Corky" (Mike) Ulrich of Drummond, WI and Robin (Mark) Weinhold of Colfax; grandchildren, Robyn, Travis (Sarah), Megan (Eric), Kenrich, Bretta (Arrik), Anna and Lydia; great grandchildren, Emmy (Larry), Sam and Ava; many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Erich; sisters, Mildred and Lorraine; brothers, Bud and Carrol.
