Muriel A. Magadance, age 78, of Eau Claire died on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Mayo Clinic Health System - Eau Claire.

Muriel was born December 5, 1939 to the late Andrew and Tillie (Huff) Winsand in Gilmanton, WI; graduating from Gilmanton High school. Muriel met Larry Magadance and they began their marriage of 58 years on September 3, 1960. She spent most of her working life employed at Northern States Power. She loved reading, walking, gardening, the Green Bay Packers and just plain keeping busy. After her retirement, she enjoyed getting together regularly with her long-time friends from NSP. She volunteered at Feed My People and quilted with the ladies at St. John's Lutheran Church.

Muriel was a woman of faith, a beautiful person, a compassionate friend, and a model of how to be kind, funny, devoted, generous, humble, strong and independent.

She most loved spending time with her family who survive her: husband, Larry; daughters, Jamie Meyer (Randy Kottwitz) and Kathy (Bill) Moeller; grandchildren, Dan (Tera) Meyer and Kayla Meyer; great grandchildren, Ezekiel, Everleigh and Everett Meyer; sister-in-law, Kay Magadance; former son-in-law, Dave Meyer; numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly; many other relatives and friends.

Muriel was preceded in death by her parents; father-and mother-in-law, Harris and Hazel Magadance; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Irene (Ken) Parker, Thelma (Jerry) Paulson, Florence (George) Hardy, Joyce (Lyle) Wensel, Fred Magadance, Marshall Winsand and Walter (Alice) Winsand.

Honoring a life with a meaningful service is an important step in the grief process and is a gift to their family and friends —
a gift of memories and a gift of healing
