WEBSTER, Evelyn B., age 90

Died: Friday, May 16th, 2014

Celebration of Evelyn's Life: 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 23, 2014 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church on 601 Fall Street in Eau Claire with Pastor Russell Kampfer officiating

Visitation: 1 hour prior to the service at church

Interment: Rest Haven Cemetery, Town of Washington, Wisconsin

 

Evelyn B. Webster, age 90, of Eau Claire died on Friday, May 16, 2014, at home with family by her side.

She was born on July 10, 1923 in Eau Claire to Walter and Minnie (Behnke) Thalacker. Evelyn graduated from high school in Mondovi and moved back to Eau Claire to attend vocational school. She worked in the offices of U.S. Rubber Company and then Gateco Liquor Co. in Eau Claire until her retirement.

For 58 years she was married to LaRue "Louie" Webster. She was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church in Eau Claire where she participated in women's ministries and Bible study. For many years she was on various bowling leagues in Eau Claire, was a member of TREA with her husband, and loved to play Scrabble with her sister.

Evelyn is survived by daughters, Sally Burt of Eau Claire and Jackie Bussert (Rev. Mark) of Elmhurst, IL; sons Dean of Eau Claire and Dan (Peggy) of Altoona; granddaughter, caregiver and companion, Susan Zimbauer; grandchildren, Kimn (Diane) Pederson, Jonmark (Kathy) Bussert, Gretchen (Jay) Manske, Peter Bussert, Joah Bussert, Jesse (Megan) Bussert, Tanya Walther, David Webster, Nicole Bresina, Jessica (Jay) Bierman, Nicholas Webster, Amy Webster; foster granddaughter, Korena Schlewitz; 22 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Odegard and Olga Vogel both of Eau Claire; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brothers, Norman and Duane Thalacker.
