RENNER, David A., age 71

Died: Friday, January 30th, 2015

Memorial Service: 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 6, 2015 at the Black River Falls United Methodist Church with Kathleen Jury officiating

Interment: Riverside Cemetery, Black River Falls, Wisconsin 

 

David A. Renner, age 71, of Black River Falls, WI died on Friday, January 30, 2015 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

David was born on January 9, 1944 to the late Cecil and Arlene (Meinzer) Renner in Geneva, IL. On August 30, 1966, David married Suzanne Rumple in Aurora, IL. They moved to the Black River Falls, WI area where they spent most of their life and raised three children.

During the Vietnam War, David served in the U.S. Army 7th Engineers completing a tour in Vietnam from 1965-66. For 28 years he worked at the Tomah VA Hospital as a CNA.

David loved being in the outdoors hunting and fishing. He was an avid fan of his grandchildren's sporting events and very much enjoyed his great-grandchildren. 

He is survived by his wife, Suzanne of Black River Falls; daughter, Michelle (Lonny) Petrusa of Joliet, IL; son, Patrick (Vicki) Renner of Britton, SD; daughter, Marlene (Bill) Waldera of Melrose, WI; grandchildren, Kevin (Jen) Owens, Kristin (Jack) Taylor, Kelly Young, Dustin and Grant Renner, Thane and Weston Henschel, Mindy Waldera, Lindsay (Gunner) Burgau, and Brooke and Paige Waldera; 8 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Patricia Renner; brother-in-law, Michael (Miriam) Rumple; many other family members and friends.

David was preceded in death by his wife's parents; sister, Leora; brother, Dennis; and granddaughter, Danielle.
