Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at St. Olaf Catholic Church with Father Paul Hoffman officiating

Visitation: 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home and also one hour prior to Mass at church
The visitation will conclude Wednesday evening with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m.

Entombment: Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Town of Washington, Wisconsin

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to St. Olaf Catholic Church

Joan C. Knauf, age 87, of Eau Claire passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, February 3, 2017 at Lake Hallie Memory Care Center in Lake Hallie.

Joan was born February 4, 1930 in Marshfield, WI, the daughter of the late John and Rose (Drewek) Bloczynski. On June 21, 1958, she married DuWayne "Duke" Knauf in Marshfield. Joan worked at Household Finance in Eau Claire until they started their family. She was an active member of the PCCW at St. Olaf Parish and worked many years at the voting polls for the City of Eau Claire. 

She is survived by her sons, Lee (Cara) Knauf of New Ulm, MN and Patrick Knauf of Eau Claire, WI; daughter, Karen (Mark) LaPage of Eau Claire; grandchildren Chelsea Knauf, Bradley Knauf, Jenny LaPage and Quinn LaPage; sister, Mary Ann (Gordon) Moore of Richland Center; sister-in-law, Clara Bloczynski; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Duke; brothers, Sylvester, Raymond, Lawrence, LaVerne, John, George and Thomas; and sister, Leona.
