Kathleen "Kathy" S. Petska, age 58, of Chippewa Falls, passed away very unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Mayo Clinic Health System, Eau Claire due to heart complications.

Kathy was born on October 24, 1955 to Lamar and Mavis (Powers) House in Eau Claire. In 1973, she graduated from North High School. On May 6, 1978, she married Kenneth Petska at Hope Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. She worked for many area businesses as manager and bookkeeper making many dear friends.

Her pride and joy in life was being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and dear friend. She enjoyed those special things in life: being with family, hosting her large family and friends at her home, taking care of her home and holiday decorating, camping, and her 1969 Camero. Sunday's at her mother's house were special times with family playing cards and visiting. She loved going for "a ride" with her special friend, "Kitten". Kathy's love and devotion will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Kenneth; children, Russell (Katie), Ryan, Rehannah; grandchildren, Hunter and Colton; mother, Mavis; brothers, Steven (Sylvia) and Thomas House; sister, Julie Johnson; her beloved nieces and nephews; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lamar "Kelly" House; sister and brother-in-law, Cynthia (Roger) Sentek; brother, Terry; niece, Emma Leigh Johnson; great niece, Krista Kay; and other relatives.

Honoring a life with a meaningful service is an important step in the grief process and is a gift to their family and friends —
a gift of memories and a gift of healing
