Glen L. Olson, 91, of Eau Claire, died peacefully on Friday, April 20, 2018 at the Clearwater Care Center in Eau Claire.

He was born on March 1, 1927 in rural Wisconsin near Alma Center to the late Lloyd H. and Mabel (DuPont) Olson. He spent his childhood working on the family farm and helping with the family cheese factory near Eleva. In 1952, he married Delores Taluc in Menomonie and they began their life together.

Glen served in the U.S. Army during World War II. After completing his military service, he returned to central Wisconsin to begin his life-long career as a CPA. For more than five decades Glen provided accounting services to families, companies and organizations throughout Wisconsin and neighboring states. His clients viewed him as a trusted advisor and friend ready to help no matter the circumstance. He was an owner and partner to several very successful CPA practices in the Eau Claire area.

In addition to being a very successful businessman, Glen was a very kind and generous man of faith who loved people and animals. He was a great husband, awesome father and generous volunteer. Glen spent countless hours raising donations for the Shriners Hospitals for Children as a member of the Mehara Shrine Club of Eau Claire where he served as President in 1985. He also volunteered at Trinity Lutheran Church, spent time working events for Special Olympics and as Treasurer of the Wisconsin Republican Party.

Glen is survived by his children, Becky Passarelli of Chandler, AZ, Bonnie (Norman) Korn of Minnetonka, MN, and Loyd (RoseAnn) Olson of Alpharetta, GA; grandchildren, Zachary (Brittny) Olson, Salvator Passarelli, Courtney Olson, and Alexander Korn; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Delores; parents; and sister, Gloria Olson.

The entire Olson family would like to thank Val Kolo for decades of help, care and friendship provided to Glen and his family. There is no way to express how thankful we are for everything Val has done for our family.

Honoring a life with a meaningful service is an important step in the grief process and is a gift to their family and friends —
a gift of memories and a gift of healing
