Jean Claire Thompson Everson, age 84, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Franciscan Skemp Medical Center in LaCrosse following a short-lived illness.

She was born on February 12, 1930 to the late K. Orin and Clara (Scharlau) Thompson in Whitehall, WI. On December 12, 1953, she married Earl "Ever" Everson. Jean spent her life in Arcadia. She graduated in 1947 and was voted as having the "best hair." She started working at Arcadia Implement and later joined Trempealeau Electric Cooperative where she worked until her retirement in 1995.

In earlier years, she enjoyed singing in the choir, bowling, and golfing with her friends. Jean was a devoted mother to her 3 sons which included becoming a Cub Scout Den Mother and taking her sons hunting and camping at Merrick Park in Fountain City with the boat "Skroat." After a long separation, Jean is now blissfully resting in peace with Ever.

Jean is survived by her sons, Jeff (Jane) and Ross (Candice) both of Arcadia and Todd of Hammond, WI; grandchildren, Chris (Candyce) Deck of Spring Grove, MN and Tim (Joi Olson-special friend) Everson of Arcadia; great-grandchildren, Kya-Violet and Kaylee-Jayne Deck; brothers, David (Corrine) Thompson of Rochester, MN and Lynn (Dulcie) Thompson of Austin, MN; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ever, and sister, Lois Christ.

Honoring a life with a meaningful service is an important step in the grief process and is a gift to their family and friends —
a gift of memories and a gift of healing
