Celebration of Life: 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at the funeral home with Chaplain Virgil Voight officiating. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service

In honor of Barb's giving ways, memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers as her family will make a donation to charities that were close to her heart.

Barbara J. Erickson,age 65, of Eau Claire passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at home surrounded by her family.

Barb was born on January 15, 1948 to the late Clarence and Milda (Thompson) Ede in Mondovi, Wisconsin.  She  enjoyed: playing cards, decorating cakes, quilting, fishing, baking, the Christmas holiday, and of course the Packers.  Barb was a person that gave so freely of herself. She loved spending time with her family and friends and was always making sure that others were taken care of.  Barb continues to give of herself even after she has passed by donating her body to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN for medical research.

Survived by her husband of 36 years, John; children, Kelly(Jerry) Larson and their daughter, Kayla Jo, of Eleva, Todd Smith of Menomonie, and Tami (Vic) Voight and their children, Victoria Lynn and Tyler John, of Mosinee; her sisters, Carol Ede of Eau Claire, Joyce (Bill) Ockel of CO and Shirley Ede of CA; many nieces, nephews, and other family members.  She also leaves behind friends that she held close to her heart.  They were her second family.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Leonard and sister, Mildred.
