Peter J. Johnson, Jr., age 87, of Eau Claire died on Friday, March 13, 2015 at Care Partners in Eau Claire surrounded by his family.

Peter was born on October 5, 1927 to the late Peter J., Sr. and Bernice (Eaton) Johnson in Eau Claire. On May 11, 1946, he married Lucille Fobes in Eau Claire. During his life Peter worked as a bus driver, a bridge builder with Andrew Larson Construction and retired from Uniroyal as a supervisor. He was a very active life member of Elks Lodge 402 receiving the Elk of the Year award in 1998. Peter loved playing cards, fishing and being at the lake in Chetek with his family. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his children, Michael (Wanda) Johnson of Sidney, MA, Jacqueline (Robert) Hanson of Stone Lake, Carolyn (Clay) McCarty of Eau Claire, Mark (Nancy) Johnson of Eau Claire, and Christopher (Nancy) Johnson of Eau Claire; 19 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and one 5^th generation grandchild; sister, Barbara (John) Weitz of Woodbury, MN; many other relatives and friends.

Peter was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille; infant son, Gregory; brother-in-law, Marvin Fobes; sister-in-law, Helen Pederson; and mother- and father-in-law, Frederick and Ruth (Reistad) Fobes.
