Beatrice Amelia Brenholt, age 87, formerly of Eau Claire, went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at the Continuing Care Center in Grantsburg, WI.  Bea was a loving mother, doting grandmother and great-grandmother, caring friend, generous giver, and faithful prayer warrior. She was deeply loved and will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.

Bea was born on April 29, 1927 to the late Paul and Kristine (Halvorson) Gehler in Sand Creek, WI. She married Howard B. Brenholt on June 5, 1949 in Sand Creek, WI. She worked as a bank teller for many years until she left to devote all of her time to the job she loved most - being a wife and mom.  Bea was actively involved in church and taught Sunday School for many years. She enjoyed knitting, cooking, and playing cards and piano. Of the many things she enjoyed, what Bea loved most was being a mom, grandma, and great-grandma, and it is for that love that she will be most greatly missed.

Bea is survived by her children, Craig (Mary) Brenholt of Eau Claire, Paul (Julie) Brenholt of Austin, TX, and Jayne (Brad) Moore of Grantsburg, WI; grandchildren, Michael (Sarah) Brenholt, Kristine (Trevor) Peterson, Vanessa (Ryan) Bettger, Thomas (Sarah) Brenholt, and Melissa Moore; great-grandchildren, Lucy, Franklin, Ingrid, Elayna, Liam, and  Dinah; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Howard; siblings, Esther, Elva, Herb, Archie, Orvie, Rollie, Lorraine, Dorothy, and Alice.

Honoring a life with a meaningful service is an important step in the grief process and is a gift to their family and friends —
a gift of memories and a gift of healing
