Isaiah 41:10 says "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

Darin P. Bowe, age 50, of Eau Claire, passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at home surrounded by his family after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

On August 19, 1966, Darin was born in Chippewa Falls to Kenneth and Wanda Bowe. Darin graduated from North High School in 1984 and went on to manage a reputable cable services company for a number of years. He later started his own construction business, helping families throughout the Chippewa Valley with their home improvements. In the past two months, he enjoyed his hobby of whittling by making many beautiful walking sticks.

In 1987, Darin married Kelly Hoehl, daughter of Jerry and Sharon Hoehl. In 1994, they welcomed their son Hayden, by far Darin's proudest moment. Throughout their 30 years of marriage, they lived in the Eau Claire area creating countless friendships.

Darin was a hardworking and honest man who loved the outdoors. He was dedicated to his family and devoted to his loving wife and son. He enjoyed being involved with youth sports, primarily coaching Hayden for many years in baseball. Darin and Kelly attended Jacob's Well Church where their faith in the Lord grew, even in the midst of Darin's tenuous battle.

He is survived by his wife, Kelly; their son, Hayden; parents, Ken and Wanda Bowe; along with Kelly's parents, Jerry and Sharon Hoehl. Darin is further survived by his sister, Cheri (Bill Lennie) and their children, Ryan and Craig, of Atlanta, GA; brother, Randy (Lori) and their children, Joseph and Kendra, of Eau Claire; sister, Lauri (Don Borton) and their children, Rachel and Amber, of Eau Claire; sister, Dawn (Paul Sells) and their children, Briana and Brady, of Eau Claire; brother, Brad (Brenda) and their daughter, Sara, of Altoona; sister-in-law, Kim (Andy Krieg) and their children, Emma and Victor, of Eagle, WI; many great nieces and nephews, other relatives, and countless friends. He will also be greatly missed by his 4-legged companion, Payton, who gave him comfort during these past few years.

The family would like to thank the numerous doctors, nurses and staff at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Eau Claire and Rochester, as well as the hospice staff for their compassionate care. A very special thank you to Kim Passi, RN and Dr. Basu at Mayo's Cancer Center in Eau Claire for their amazing dedication to Darin during his treatments over the past ten years.

Honoring a life with a meaningful service is an important step in the grief process and is a gift to their family and friends —
a gift of memories and a gift of healing
