LARSON, James B., age 52

Memorial Gathering: 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at the funeral home 

Interment: will be held at a later date

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given in honor of his children

 

James B. Larson, age 52, died unexpectedly with his family by his side on November 2, 2014 in Eau Claire. He was reunited with his mother, Virginia and sister-in-law, Amy in the after-life.

He was born on May 5, 1962 in Milwaukee, WI to Gary and Virginia (Toivonen) Larson. James worked at Great Northern/Kell Container in Chippewa Falls for 12 years and Northern Engraving in Galesville for 6 years. 

On June 10, 2000, he married Roxanne Gusk in Eau Claire. James enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting with his son, Mitchell. Recently he discovered the passion of gardening. Jim enjoyed scouting for treasures at thrift sales with his daughter, Tia, along with spending time with his cats and dog; Mario, Missy and Fred. 

James is survived by his wife, Roxanne; son, Mitchell; daughter, Tia; father, Gary Larson all of  Eau Claire; brothers, Jeff Larson of Miami, FL and Jody Larson of Eau Claire; sister, Kristine (Andrew) Weiss of Elk Mound; nephews, Dakotah and Logan Larson, Ethan and Evan Weiss. He is further survived by Roxanne's family: parents, Jerome and Diane Gusk of Taylor, WI; sisters, Renee (Victor) Hoff of Centerville, WI, Rhonda (Chuck) Hills of Ettrick, WI, and Rita (Dave) Casper of Black River Falls, WI; nephews, Ryan and Brett Hoff, Mathew Hills, and Ryan Casper; niece, Hannah Hills; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Larson; grandparents, Gladys & Kenneth Larson and John & Vera Toivonen; and sister-in-law, Amy Larson.
