Jason A. Richardson, age 45, of Eau Claire passed away early Monday morning, May 4, 2015 of a massive heart attack at Sacred Heart Hospital.

Jason was born on December 17, 1969 to Robert and Connie (Dewey) Richardson in Janesville, Wisconsin. Following graduation from Memorial High School in Eau Claire, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force proudly serving our country during Operation Desert Storm. He worked as a journeyman electrician through IBEW Local 14 and was an active and proud member of many local organizations.

He loved his family and being in the great outdoors on his motorcycle, boating, snowmobiling, or spending time at the cabin. He enjoyed hanging with his buddies sharing life lessons with whomever he could. Jason was a great husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He would give everything to anyone and ask for only your devotion as a friend in return. His zest for life was infectious and he could light up a room with his humor. He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

Jason leaves behind, his wife, Lisa, and children, Grace and Garrett; parents, Robert and Connie (Dewey) Richardson; sister, Jaki (Dan) Johnson and their children, Angel, Brock and Rhegan and great nephew, Greyson; mother- and father-in-law, Leon and Edie (Spehle) Schretenthaler, sisters- and brothers-in-law, Keith (Deb) Schretenthaler, Sheri (Dave) Blechinger all of Eau Claire, Scott (Desiree Holm) of Las Vegas, and Curt (Deb) Schretenthaler of River Falls; nieces and nephews, Sam, Charlie, Sally, Mike, Kira, Emma, Anna (Colin), Casey, Logan, and Ali; great nephews and niece, Liam, Wesley and Isla; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Herbert and Anne Richardson and Gaylord and Mary Dewey.

Honoring a life with a meaningful service is an important step in the grief process and is a gift to their family and friends —
a gift of memories and a gift of healing
